Beautiful and rare set of majolica serving pieces composed of six plates of rosehips and a large serving plate  representing a rosehip flower and a pensy flower This set was made by Delphin Massier probably at the end of the 19th or early 20th century.

Like most of Massier’s pieces, nature is the main source of inspiration. In this respect, Delphin Massier’s work fits perfectly into the Art Nouveau movement. This ornamental vocabulary contributes to the renewal of the decorative arts at the end of the century. Many naturalistic motifs from all horizons appear in the Massier production.
