GALERIE VAUCLAIR

Specialized in artistic ceramics and wicker furniture from the second half of the 19th century, Galerie Vauclair shows a period made up of World’s fairs (from 1851), a style shaped by technical innovations and a society full of exuberance which refined its appearance. Craftsmen of that time contributed to form a new taste, embodied by famous collectors or connoisseur.

Located in the 24 rue de Beaune in Paris, the center of Carré Rive Gauche, important antique dealer district, Galerie Vauclair has the opportunity to be near Musée d’Orsay and Musée des Arts Décoratifs, whose collections cover the same period.

Members of the Syndicat National des Antiquaires (the most important union in France), experts at the Compagnie Nationale des Experts (France) and members of the Majolica International Society, Laurence and Denis Vauclair-Rouquette want to reveal totally new and unseen pieces and bring to light artists who are sometimes unknown.

For several years, Galerie Vauclair has been collecting exceptional pieces all over the world and conducting important research in this fabulous field.

The Gallery participates in several prestigious events like the Biennale des Antiquaires in Paris, the Masterpiece London fair or the Fine Art Asia and the French May in Hong Kong.

She also establishes many partnerships with set designers, fashion and theater professionals : Hermes, Chanel, the Théâtre Antoine in Paris, Woody Allen …
