Rattan set – Manufacture Bonacina, Italy, circa 1960

Vintage rattan set by Italian manufacturer Bonacina. Includes two armchairs, a bench and a table. Comfortable vintage furniture with low, wide armchairs and a round coffee table with immaculate slate top.

Giovanni Bonacina began his activity in 1889 in Lurago d’Erba, north of Milan, combining two traditional trades, basketry and furniture making. His hard work and experience produce excellent results. The son, Vittorio, took over the company and developed it with what his father had passed on to him, with a view to the design and art revolution of the 1950s. Over the years, Bonacina has focused on the ecological sustainability of the materials used while continuing the highly creative and refined work for which the company is known.
