This high-quality planter reflects the new influences from the Far East that began to influence ceramic artists in the second half of the 19th century. The Collinot & Cie factory was part of this veritable race toward monumentality, evident at the World’s Fairs, which pushed the material to the limits of its capabilities.

This turquoise-blue piece is covered with a design of cherry blossoms and pheasants that stand out against the background. The neck of the planter is adorned with an Oriental-inspired motif.
